Mytilene Old Town Walking Tour

Discover the rich history and vibrant atmosphere of Mytilene, the capital of Lesvos, on a guided walking tour through its charming old town. Highlights include a leisurely stroll along the picturesque waterfront, a visit to the impressive Castle of Mytilene, one of the largest medieval fortresses in the Mediterranean, and a walk through the historic neighbourhood of Epano Scala, renowned for its traditional cafés and ouzeries. The tour also includes a stop at the historic Kafeneion “O Ermis”, a landmark café recognised on Greece’s National Inventory of Intangible Cultural Heritage.

Day Trip to Plomari

Discover Plomari, one of the most picturesque towns on Lesvos and the traditional home of ouzo. Nestled between olive-covered hills and the Aegean Sea, Plomari is renowned for its maritime heritage, charming waterfront, and long-standing distilling tradition.

Known as the capital of ouzo Plomari offers a unique blend of history, culture, and coastal beauty. The excursion includes a visit to a local ouzo distillery, where participants will learn about the history and production of Greece’s iconic anise-flavoured spirit. The tour will provide an opportunity to explore the distillation process and sample a selection of locally produced ouzos, offering an authentic taste of Lesvos’ most famous product.

Participants will also have time to enjoy the town’s scenic harbour, traditional architecture, and relaxed seaside atmosphere.
